You're invited to bring the kids in their Halloween costume for a youth-centric contest at 7:45 PM, or go all out and bring your best Dia de los Mertos outfit with full on facial make-up to partake in the $500 BEST MUERTOS MAKEUP COMPETITION!

5:00 - 6:00 PM Â ARTS & CRAFTS FOR KIDSÂ
Bring the family out in the late afternoon, where they'll decorate sugar skulls and place them on the ofrenda. Â
6:00 - 6:45 PM Â SPANISH HERITAGE PERFORMANCE WITH TRADITIONAL ACONCHERO (AZTEC) & FOLKLORICO DANCERSÂ
The Aztec people performed dances for religious and secular occasions, and some of their dances have roots in the art form of Mexican folklórico. Folklórico is a collection of regional and ethnic dance traditions that are influenced by Indigenous, African, and European cultures. Â
6:45 - 7:00 PM Â SUNDOWN RITUAL & DIA DE LOS MUERTOS PROCESSIONÂ
Just as the sun goes down and dusk approaches, partake in a traditional muertos parade around Central Park to where the ofrenda is located. Â 6:45 PM Â OFRENDA LIGHTING CEREMONY A ritual where the Aztec and traditional dancers light the candles at dusk (6:35) and explain the signifigance behind the ofrenda and ritual of Day of the Dead, and invites attendees to place their photos of lost loved ones at the altar. Â
